A link can be a graphic or text. Text links will be of another color than the other text on the page and will often be (but bot necessarily) underlined. The standard color of a text link is medium blue; however, this color is not always used. In fact, any color can be selected. When you click on a text or graphic link with a mouse, you will:

1. Transport or "jump" the viewer to another website or another page within the same website.

2. Initiate the downloading of a software program to your computer.

3. Launch (or open) a helper application, such as an eMail program.

4. If a banner or box ad (which are usually links), you will be transported or "jump" to the advertiser's website.
