virtual

Not in nature. Virtual pertains to that which exists in computer terms but not in the real world. That which has the essence but not the appearance. Example: a virtual bank is an online bank facility, but it would not necessarily have an office you could visit, nor any tellers you could speak to in person. However, they would likely have tellers available online or by telephone.
