~ Computer Dictionary ~

A virus is a software program designed to maliciously damage victims' computers. Viruses are usually downloaded as attachments in eMail or are hidden in other downloaded software programs.

It is highly recommended that you get in the habit of opening eMail attachments ONLY WHEN you know and trust the sender. Even then, it could be sent without the sender's knowledge. In addition, NEVER download software from a website you do not know to be trustworthy.

It is also highly recommended you use an anti-virus program, such as SurfinGuard or F-Prot. Both are very effective, and free for home use.
